This stretch of Menominee River in Marinette County is 0.3 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. The natural beauty of Marinette County and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Briefly about the general area: Quiver Falls is an inspiring site to stop at while you're here, and Menominee River is not far at all from Loretto. Don't leave Menominee River without first paying
a visit to Quiver Falls. The skiing at Norway Mountain is delightful. At Menominee River through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. During the wintertime this
place gets highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Menominee River. Menominee River gets a normal amount of annual precipitation.
