If you're coming from Marinette it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The beautiful scenery of Marinette / Menominee County and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Wisconsin is often easier than elsewhere,
| so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. Briefly about the general area: It's always wonderful to stop at Pemene
Falls, and Menominee River is a spot with many visitors from Marinette. Put some time aside to spend at Pemene Falls while you're here at Menominee River. Norway Mountain is a great local ski area. During the summertime,
highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Menominee River, and the overnight is quite colder of course, commonly in the 50's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Menominee River sink into the 0's.
