  The wonderful Wisconsin scenery and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. If you're coming from Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers in this state are not as hard as elsewhere.
    The Bridge Street to Falls Road Ledge section of Milwaukee River is 2.7 miles long and it is classified as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter,
there are lots of good rivers for that around here. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.

A tour to Havenwoods State Forest when you're here at Milwaukee River is a good idea, and during your visit here you'll meet some folks from Grafton for sure. Going to Harrington Beach State Park in close proximity to Milwaukee River is a great thing to do. The yearly precipitation here at Milwaukee River is about average. September is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. All through the warmest time of the year at Milwaukee River temperatures are commonly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's.
