The put-in is not too far from Iron Mountain, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing     to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that many of the sections in this state are safe for beginners. The FS 2131 to FS 2134 stretch of Peshtigo River in Forest County is 8.9 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I-II section. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. Briefly about the general area: The Dendro Eco Trail is a pleasant hiking trail near Peshtigo   River, and lots of people from Armstrong Creek come here. Through the summer months, highs usually are in the 70's at Peshtigo River, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Peshtigo River descend into the-10's. A normal amount of rain falls here at Peshtigo River. September is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
