This stretch of Rat River in Marinette County is 3.3 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III(IV) section by American Whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but     if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. This is a short paddling stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Rat River temperatures dip to the-10's.
