This section of Sauk Creek is 1.5 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Wisconsin and the playfulness of the water beats anything. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on     the river in one stretch. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. No need to look hard for hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Grant Street to South Milwaukee Street section is one of them. The put-in is not too far from Sheboygan, as you can see on the road map further down. The campgrounds here at Sauk Creek are pretty good. Briefly about the general area: Here at Sauk Creek there   are plenty of folks from Port Washington, and Harrington Beach State Park is a fine site to stop by. Havenwoods State Forest is a good location. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Sauk Creek. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's while Sauk Creek nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. The annual rain here at Sauk Creek is about average. September is the month that gets the most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month.
