The wonderful Wisconsin scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Thunder River make the trip here worthwhile. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This stretch is very short so better bring some good walking shoes. The put-in location is a short drive from Marinette, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page.
