Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The campgrounds here at Totogatic River are pretty good. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The natural beauty of Wisconsin and the cool fresh water beats anything. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some   time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Eau Claire, as you can see on the road map further down. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Totogatic Flowage to Colton Flowage stretch is one of them. Through the summer months at Totogatic River highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.
