This     stretch of Wolf River in Wisconsin is 10.4 miles long and it is classified as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your camping stuff. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. The scenic beauty of Langlade County and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. Briefly   about the general area: Augustyn Springs is a great local attraction; people from Pickerel love to come here. Good hiking is available along the Eds Lake Trail System. Summertime at Wolf River arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Wolf River dipping down into the-10's all through winter nights. The yearly rainfall here at Wolf River is about average.
