The creek is no more than 2' deep even during spring run off.
The starting location is a reasonable drive from Jackson, as you can see on the road map further down. The natural beauty of Teton County and the water flowing gracefully down Ditch Creek have people coming here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are some good sections to paddle |
in this river system, the North and South Branch confluence to US26 section is one of them. The beauty of the Wind River Range is a great plus for this river. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This section is
| long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. Moose here. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is plentiful here in the Wind River Range. Hiking along the Jenny Lake Moraine Horse Trail is glorious fun; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby
Snow King. The surroundings of this river have so much to offer. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Jenny Lake Trail. For the period of the days of summer here at Ditch Creek, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's.
