Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Wyoming is often tougher than elsewhere, so don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. This stretch of Hoback River in Sublette Teton County is 20 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-III section of whitewater. further down the page. The nature scenery of Wyoming and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. The campgrounds here at Hoback River are pretty good. Getting some good exercise and just hanging
| out with mother nature are great reasons to come. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. Briefly about the general area: Hiking along the Granite Highline Trail is good fun, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure
along the High Line Trail. All year is a delightful time in the Wind River Range if you have a thing about the outdoors. For the duration of the long summer days here at Hoback River, high temperatures usually get into the
80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Hoback River are in the 0's.
