The put-in is not too far from Anchorage. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Alaska are often tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. dry place. September is when you get the most rain here while April is usually the driest month. Summertime highs at Alpacka Rafts commonly tend to be in the 60's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
