The starting point is not too far from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in California is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better
    not forget that rivers here are less forgiving. The natural beauty of California and the cool fresh water have people coming here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have
reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. When you're paddling down a Coast Ranges river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came.

While you're here at Bigfoot Rafting you can take a hike along the Grouse Creek Tractor Way, and lots of folks from Willow Creek come here. That right there is a load of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Coast Ranges has it all. On a perfect day at Bigfoot Rafting you can take a hike along the Grouse Creek Tractor Trail. Bigfoot Rafting is a relatively wet place ordinarily with a good deal of precipitation. The month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Bigfoot Rafting while overnight lows are typically in the 50's.
