Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in California tend to be more challenging than the national average, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. If you're coming from Sacramento—Arden-Arcade—Roseville it's not a long drive at all to the put-in     location. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. There's camping available near Sierra Outdoor Center. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came.
