If you're coming from San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos it's not a long drive at all to the starting location. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature     are great attractions for lots of people. A day at Ski Beach right next door to The Adventure Center is time well spent, and a tour to Torrey Pines State Beach invigorates the soul.
