The put-in location is a short drive from Canon City. The beauty of the Front Range is a great plus for this river. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Since you're on this     site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: Here at American Adventure Expeditions there   are plenty of people from Canon City, and Bumback Gulch is a wonderful site to stop at. So much exciting stuff in the Front Range, just impressive. Going for a hike on the Tanner Trail is always a delightful adventure It's always tremendous to stop at Bumback Spring. This river is so perfect. There are perfect places to look at along the Stultz Trail. American Adventure Expeditions gets very little rain. For the period of July this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
