Rafting Trips
The nature scenery of Summit County and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Colorado are often more challenging than in other
| states, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. If you're coming from Silverthorne it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location. There are many good hotels to choose from, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. And of course, there are campgrounds | |
|
nearby.
Briefly about the general area: A great location to stop by close to Arkansas Valley Adventures is Lehman Gulch, and Breckenridge has delightful slopes and a friendly staff. While you're here at Arkansas
Valley Adventures you will meet lots of people from nearby Breckenridge, and Arkansas Valley Adventures is right by the Burro Trail. This is such a wonderful river. Rocky Point is something you shouldn't miss since you're
here at Arkansas Valley Adventures; do take a hike on the Wheeler Trail. Arkansas Valley Adventures is pretty dehydrated mostly. July is the month that gets the most rain, and January is when it's the driest.
