  Whitewater Rafting Trips
Rafts

The starting point is not too far from Fort Collins-Loveland. There are some good hotels near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of spots for that. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The nature scenery of Larimer County
and the water flowing gracefully down Mountain Whitewater Descents are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Whitewater paddling here in the Front Range is a great experience. Getting your paddling muscles activated and
just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. The average Colorado whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so better not forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners.

Briefly about the general area:
At Mountain Whitewater Descents you always meet someone from Laporte; Lory State Park is a wonderful location to pop by on a delightful

day. That right there is a lot of exciting things already but it goes on, the Front Range has it all. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Wintersteen Trail, and Boyd Lake State Park is both good and beautiful. This is such a wonderful river. Mountain Whitewater Descents is right by the Greyrock Trail. Mountain Whitewater Descents gets very little rainfall. May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. At Mountain Whitewater Descents throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's.
