The starting location is a reasonable drive from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.

Springs-Marietta here. Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is a splendid local destination here at White Water Learning Center, and Stone Mountain State Park is a wonderful place to stretch your legs a bit. The
surroundings of this river have so much to offer. Throughout the summer here at White Water Learning Center, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout
the winter are normally in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to White Water Learning Center. White Water Learning Center sees pretty high levels of rain.
