The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Bozeman. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do     keep in mind that many of the sections in this state are safe for beginners. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The Absaroka Range scenery is wonderful. The campgrounds here at Yellowstone Raft are pretty good. No shortage of good hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. Briefly about the general area: Yellowstone National Park is a great site close to Yellowstone Raft; Yellowstone Raft is a place   with many visitors from Gardiner. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Absaroka Range. Gallatin National Forest is a nice site to have a look at on a lovely day; Eagle Nest Rock is a nice place to explore while in the vicinity. The surroundings of this river have so much to offer. If you're here, you might as well take a look at Gardner Canyon, and you can go for a hike on the Beaver Lakes Loop Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Yellowstone Raft. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's.
