Canyon Outfitters

Baker county, Oregon whitewater outfitter

The wonderful Baker County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Canyon Outfitters have people coming here. The put-in location is a short drive from Ontario. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you've been whitewater
rafting and kayaking outside Oregon you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at
a nearby campground. The Wallowa Mountains scenery is wonderful. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near.

Briefly about the general area:
Near Canyon Outfitters you come across the Kettle Creek Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and you might also want to pay a visit to Posy Valley if you're here at Canyon Outfitters. And that's not everything there

is to do here in the Wallowa Mountains. The Martin Bridge Trail is a good hiking trail near Canyon Outfitters, and you'll meet a lot of people from Halfway here. This is such a wonderful river. At Canyon Outfitters you don’t see much rain. Most of the snow falls during December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the summertime, highs generally are in the 80's at Canyon Outfitters. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Canyon Outfitters.
