Destination Wilderness

Oregon whitewater outfitter

The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Grants Pass. The nature scenery of Oregon and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here |
are not for beginners. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. When you're paddling down a Klamath Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. A bit of exercise and
| just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots.
Briefly about the general area: A wonderful place in the neighborhood of Destination Wilderness is Serpentine Gulch, and you can go for a hike on the Grayback Trail. And if that's not sufficient there's plenty more enjoyable | |
|
stuff to do in the Klamath Mountains. A short trip to Dunn Riffle is always worthwhile; there are plenty of folks from Merlin here at Destination Wilderness. At this river you will never have a bad time. There are tremendous
spots to look at along the Coffee Pot Trail. All through the warm days of summer highs here at Destination Wilderness reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter
come with highs in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Destination Wilderness temperatures drop to the 30's.
