The average
Oregon whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The put-in location is a reasonable drive
from Grants Pass. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The beautiful scenery of Oregon and the beautiful way the water current moves
down the stream have people coming here. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Whitewater paddling here in the Siskiyou Mountains is a great experience.

Briefly about the general area:
A tour to The Canyon is always fun, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Coffee Pot Trail. Be careful coming to the Siskiyou Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. This is a popular place for folks from Grants Pass, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Kerby Peak Trail. This river has it all. Summer at O'Brien's Rogue River Rafting arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's.
