The starting location is a reasonable drive from Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The wonderful Pennsylvania scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. Briefly about the general area: The Choke Creek Trail is a great hiking trail next   to Whitewater Raft Center; obviously, everybody loves Hickory Run State Park. The skiing at Big Boulder is nice, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Boulder Field Trail. Lots of fun awaits you along this river. Here at Whitewater Raft Center you'll probably meet some people from Lehighton; Lehigh Gorge State Park is worth taking a look at. A journey to Whitewater Raft Center wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Three O'Clock Spring. Lots of precipitation falls at Whitewater Raft Center.
