The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Newport. The natural beauty of Cocke County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Tennessee is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy.
