The put-in location is a short drive from Cleveland. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so better not forget that many runs in this state are not easy. The river     winds through the Great Smoky Mountains and you get great scenery. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. Briefly about the general area: At Ocoee Adventure Center you always meet someone from Ducktown, and Beech Spring is always fun to check out. So many cool things in the Great Smoky Mountains, just mind-boggling. Ocoee Adventure   Center is right by the Dry Pond Lead Trail; a journey to Hiwassee/Ocoee Scenic River State Park is a delightful idea. This river is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Rock Creek Trail, and if you're here, you might as well check out Byrd Gap. Time spent at Parksville Beach next to Ocoee Adventure Center is always great. A great deal of rain falls at Ocoee Adventure Center. Of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; October is the month with the least moisture.
