Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Tennessee are harder than the national norm, so if you're not     from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. The put-in is not too far from Cleveland. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: Ryner Spring is an inspiring location to visit during your stay, and if   the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Azalea Trail. Since you're here at Ocoee Outdoors why not check out Prince Gap; while you're here you can take a hike along the Chilhowee Forest Walk Trail. This river has it all. Hiwassee/Ocoee Scenic River State Park is a perfect site to take a look at on a wonderful day, and don't leave Ocoee Outdoors without first paying a visit to Rymer Spring. On a lovely day you can go to Parksville Beach right next door to Ocoee Outdoors, and people from Oldfort love to come here.
