Pigeon River

The put-in location is a short drive from Sevierville. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Tennessee tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The beautiful Great Smoky Mountains scenery is an
added bonus. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The natural beauty of Tennessee and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Since you're on this site you are probably
into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Lodging is available near the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.

Briefly about the general area:
Hit the slopes at Ober Gatlinburg around here, and close by Tudor Hollow is a perfect spot to go. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Great Smoky Mountains.

This is a popular site for folks from Sevierville; do take a hike on the Sugarland Mountain Trail. This river has so much to offer. Visiting Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Cove Mountain Trail.
