The starting point is not too far from Cedar City. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Utah are often more forgiving than in other states, so better not forget that many runs in this state are very easy. The scenic beauty of Piute County and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Getting your paddling
muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a pretty small number of paddling places.
And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
