Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Utah is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections in this state are pretty easy. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are not so many other good places for that around here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations
    you might end up sleeping in your car. The put-in location is a short drive from Cedar City. The campgrounds here at Big Rock Raft & Yak are pretty good. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are
sure to keep you coming back for more. The nature scenery of Piute County and the water flowing gracefully down Big Rock Raft & Yak beats anything.

Briefly about the general area:
Piute State Park is both wonderful and striking, and it's right next door to Big Rock Raft & Yak, and everybody close by loves skiing at Elk Meadows. Big Rock Raft & Yak is next to Fremont Indian State Park which is a striking place. Here at Big Rock Raft
 
& Yak there are plenty of folks from Marysvale; you might also want to pay a visit to Gold Gulch if you're here at Big Rock Raft & Yak. There's great hiking along the Copper Belt Trail; the Skyline National Recreation Trail offers hiking at its best. During the summer months here at Big Rock Raft & Yak, high temperatures commonly reach the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Big Rock Raft & Yak dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Around Big Rock Raft & Yak you don’t get a lot of rain.
