The natural beauty of Wisconsin and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. A bit of exercise and just hanging out |
with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Appleton.
Briefly about the general area: There's magnificent hiking along the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail,
| and lots of people from Keshena come here. The Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail offers hiking at its best, and Turtle Rapids is a lovely place to visit while you're at Big Smokey Falls Rafting. This is such a fun river. A short visit to White Rapids is always worthwhile. The yearly rainfall here at Big Smokey Falls Rafting is about average. During the month of September you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. | |
