The put-in location is a short drive from Iron Mountain. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The nature scenery of Wisconsin and the cool fresh water have people coming here. There are some good hotels near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping |
in your car. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Wisconsin is often easier than elsewhere, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while

Briefly about the general area: Don't leave Kosirs Rapid Rafts without first paying a visit to Sand Portage Falls, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Norway.
