There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the FR 194 to FR     384 section is just one of many. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Wisconsin are easier than the national norm, so don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whitewater paddling here in the Gogebic Range   is a great experience. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good places. Briefly about the general area: Go for a hike on the North Country Trail, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Clam Lake here. And that's not all there is to do here in the Gogebic Range. Don't leave Marengo River without first going for a hike along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail. A journey to Chequamegon National Forest rejuvenates the spirit.
