This section of Narramissic River in Hancock County is 16.3 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. plenty of places for that. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all
| set. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so why not pack your camp stove too.

Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Holbrook Island Sanctuary State Park is a splendid place to go if you're at Narramissic River, and the fine people of East Orland like to hang out nearby. If you're looking for a beach
near Narramissic River, we recommend Hales Beach. Throughout the summertime months at Narramissic River temperatures are typically in the 70's with night lows in the 50's.
