New Hampshire whitewater, Glover Brook Grafton county, Elbow Pond to Pemigewasset River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS V     1.9 miles   This section of Glover Brook is 1.9 miles long and has been rated as a class V section by American Whitewater. If you're coming from Laconia it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in New Hampshire are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The wonderful Grafton County     scenery and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling rivers. The wild scenery of the White Mountains is great. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Elbow Pond to Pemigewasset River section is one of them. This   is a short paddling stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Briefly about the general area: Hiking along the Mount Cilley Trail is perfect fun, and you'll meet a lot of folks from North Woodstock here. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The White Mountains is so good! You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Loon Mountain if you're here.
