  The average Ohio whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers in this state are not very demanding. This stretch of White Oak Creek is 7.5 miles long and has been rated as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. You can pitch a
    tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Wilmington,
if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The scenic beauty of Ohio and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers.

While you're
here at White Oak Creek you will meet lots of people from nearby Georgetown. A good deal of rainfall falls at White Oak Creek. The month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. High temperatures at White Oak Creek through the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's; nighttime lows through the winter for White Oak Creek tend to be in the 10's.
