This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Campground to Jennings Creek section is one of them. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The wonderful Virginia scenery and the water flowing gracefully down North Creek will make you feel great. This is a somewhat short   section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. Briefly about the general area: There's pleasant hiking along the McFalls Ridge Trail, and this is a popular site for folks from Buchanan. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Blue Ridge Mountains will keep you coming back many times. A good place to visit in the vicinity of North Creek is Colon Hollow, and great hiking is available along the Cove Mountain Trail. This river is always fun.
