The nature scenery of Washington and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. The starting point is not too far from Ellensburg, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you     want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The river winds through the Northern Cascade Range and you get great scenery. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The rivers for whitewater   rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving.
