This section of Yellowjacket Creek in Skamania/Lewis County is 5.2 miles long and it is classified as a class IV section by American Whitewater. Briefly about the general area: Gifford Pinchot National Forest is a good
location to visit, and the Klickitat Trail offers hiking at its best. Yep, outdoors cool stuff truly is plentiful here in the Northern Cascade Range. This is a popular place for folks from Randle, and hiking is a popular
thing to do around Yellowjacket Creek; Pompey Peak Trail is a great local trail. This is such a fun river. Throughout the summertime months, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Yellowjacket Creek, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's.
